Classic cherry pie with a flaky butter crust and sweet-tart cherry filling.

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups (700g) fresh or frozen cherries
  • 1 cup (200g) sugar
  • 1/4 cup (30g) cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 1/2 cups (320g) all-purpose flour (for crust)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) cold water
