Black Forest cake
Traditional German chocolate cake with cherry filling and whipped cream.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cans (20 oz each) sour cherries
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup Kirsch (optional)
- Chocolate shavings
